SUPERIOR/ROOMS LAMINATE INSTALLATION
1. PREPARE
Before laying a laminate floor, you should be aware of some basic facts: The size and special features of the room, the tools and materials available, the thickness and structure of the floor are important. For a perfect installation let the laminate set in the room for 48 hours at a temperature above 18°C. Start with the subfloor.
2. UNDERLAY
There is a choice of different underlay materials for different needs. Choose the carpet to be laid underneath the floor carefully, as depending on which one you choose, it will better protect the floor from moisture, heat, resistance and above all make it more, or less, quiet.
3. CUT-AND-CLIC
Laying laminate is child's play thanks to the tongue-and-groove joint at the head and tail of the plank. The video shows which distances from the wall and between the joints must be maintained. Another practical tip: cutting the boards to size is possible even without a ruler!
4. SPECIAL SITUATIONS
If you do not want to shorten a door frame, you can find the alternative in this video. Laying around heating pipes can also be quite simple. Finally, complete with accessories.
5. ACCESSORIES
What should be considered for transitions to other rooms? For rooms larger than 40sqm and for transitions to other places it is recommended to insert an expansion joint under the doors to allow the floor to make its natural movements. Different skirting boards give the room an individual design. Now it is just a question of care: pay attention.
6. CARE AND REPAIR
With the right care and handling, laminate floors last a long time. Use a damp cloth to clean the area, too wet will damage the material. Even obvious damage can be removed quickly: the video shows how to replace an entire panel in the installed area.
